Squad fees will be changing from February 2019. This is the first time in just under three years that we have had to increase our squad fees and comes as we have to meet rising pool costs and other inflationary pressures.
As you will set up a direct debit mandate as part of your membership renewal, there will be no need to update standing orders. (Side note – Cancel your standing order after you have completed membership renewal).
If you want to calculate your monthly fee (including discounts for having three or more swimmers), use our Monthly Fee Calculator which has been updated to use the new fees.
Squad fees will be as follows;
A – £83
Inclusive of CrossFit and Metafit
B1 – £83
Inclusive of CrossFit and Metafit
B2 – £72
Inclusive of CrossFit and Metafit
B3 – £69
Inclusive of CrossFit and Metafit
C – £53
D – £43
E – £33
Dolphins – £32
Frogs – £32
Tadpoles – £32
In some special cases parents may need to pay squad fees by Cash, Cheque or Standing Order. In such cases a manual processing surcharge of £3 will apply to your total fee.
The membership renewal period for 2019 has now started and will run until Thursday 24 January 2019. This year membership renewal will be online only, with no paper forms.
You can complete membership renewal by logging into your club account at account.chesterlestreetasc.co.uk. You will have to sign up to pay your squad fees by direct debit* as part of this if you have not done so already. Squad fees will be changing in 2019 and you can get further details from our website.
As part of membership renewal, you must pay your annual club membership fee, which are £40 for individuals (ie families with one swimmer) or £50 for a family membership (more than one swimmer).
If your swimmers enter the pool after 1 January 2019, then you are liable to pay their club and Swim England membership fees as this covers their insurance in the pool. Swimmers who don’t complete renewal face suspension from the club and from Swim England, meaning that they will not be able to train.
*Some parents may not be able to pay by Direct Debit, this can occasionally be due to restrictions placed on your bank account. If you cannot pay by Direct Debit, contact support@chesterlestreetasc.co.uk for assistance with renewal. From 2019, Squad Fee Payments by Cash, Cheque or Standing Order will be subject to a manual processing surcharge as such payments require manual verification by our volunteers.
Throughout the year we’ve been working on a Direct Debit payment system to automate the collection of payments and are now starting to move all parents over to this new system. From Feburary 2019 direct debit will be the only way to pay your squad fees.
You can optionally choose to sign up to pay by direct debit now, or can wait to do it as part of Membership Renewal for 2019 (which is open until 24 January 2019). You will be charged by direct debit from the next calendar month after signing up.
If you sign up to pay by direct debit, please remember to cancel your standing order after you have paid for the current calendar month.
Options will remain available to pay your squad fees by other methods, such as standing order, cash or cheque, however these methods will incur a £3 processing fee from February 2019.
