About Us
Chester-le-Street ASC are a local amateur swimming club, offering children the opportunity to participate in swimming as a competitive sport. Established in 1975, the club has developed in size and stature during the years, boasting some tremendously talented young athletes along the way and achieving significant success on a local, regional, national and even international stage during its forty year history.
As a club, we encourage participation at all levels from our teaching squads through to our performance swimmers, with professional and targeted coaching offered at all levels.
On a competitive level, we are committed to supporting and developing our young athletes along their swimming journey, helping them to excel in their chosen sport and achieve their personal goals.
Across our site, you will find information on competitions, results, details on how to join the club, and up to date information on up and coming events amongst many other things.

Our Mission
In pursuing our mission, we offer the following to our members:
- A structured programme of training that is geared to the development of individual swimmers
- A high standard of coaching from qualified coaches on swimming technique, fitness and motivation
- The opportunity to take part regularly in appropriate competitive events, including the club’s own galas
- The opportunity to participate in social events to promote a friendly atmosphere as well as to raise funds for the club
- Easily accessible information on club activities and developments (through the noticeboard, website etc).

The Club
Squads
Programmes designed to help swimmers to progress to the highest level possible. Our aim is to prepare swimmers for progression through the club, from absolute beginners up to the highest standard.
Galas
Chester-le-Street ASC is a competitive club and regularly organises and competes in swimming Galas locally, through the Northeast region and the UK. We also have home meets for members.
