Happy New Year from Chester-le-Street ASC

The new Swim England and Club Membership year begins on Tuesday 1 January. If you enter the pool on or after this date for a Chester-le-Street ASC session or gala then you are liable to pay your membership fee for the coming year.

If some or all of your swimmers won’t be returning to the club in January, please head to your club account and navigate to the page for each swimmer (these are linked from the homepage). From there you will be presented with a link to click, after which you will be asked to confirm your decision. Repeat this process for all applicable swimmers. Doing this means our computer systems will automatically remove relevant swimmers from our registers and billing systems from 1 January. Please do this before midnight on 31 December.

If you are not leaving the club, you will need to complete membership renewal online by 24 January 2019. Failure to complete membership renewal can lead to your suspension by the club and/or Swim England.

Poolside stretching before training

From Tuesday 11 December squads A, B1, B2 and B3 will be expected to be poolside at least 15 minutes prior to session start time for all sessions.

Swimmers will be given a pre pool stretching program to carry out, lead by Brad. We will expect all swimmers to participate as they will need to learn the routine to carry out before each session, to be used pre warm up and pre racing at galas.

You can download the pre pool stretching program now.

Coaches feel that with our current water and land based program that the inclusion of stretching can only enhance our swimmers performance, giving them one of the most comprehensive training programs available covering all aspects of an athletes long term development.
