Please could we remind all club members that they are responsible for keeping their personal records up to date.
It is vitally important that the correct details are held, as this is the information which both the ASA and the club will use in order to contact members.
The ASA introduced a new Online Membership System (OMS) last year (link below), on which members (or parents for members under 18 years of age) can update address and contact details.
To ensure that we hold the correct information, please could we ask that all members take 5 minutes to check their details.
For any parents who have not used this system before, a password will need to be set up on the first visit. You will also need the following information:
ASA Membership Number (this can be found by visiting ASA Rankings or by contacting Gail Burns (Registration Officer)
Current Email Address registered with the ASA (again this can be confirmed with Gail Burns)
If anyone has any questions regarding this, please contact Gail.

Swim North East in partnership with County Durham Sport and the ASA, have organised a FREE Young Volunteers Development Day for young people aged 15-25 within Northumberland and Durham, which will run on Sunday 24th January 2016 at Bowburn Community Centre, Durham, DH6 5AT.
The day is informative and interactive and the attendees will leave having had an introduction to officiating, completing the Timekeeping Theory module which will allow them to progress onto the Judge 1 course and knowledge of coaching through a Sports Coach UK First Steps into Coaching workshop. This will enable them to support their club, contribute to their CV and potentially their GCSE’s or NVQ course work.
As this day is being run in Durham, priority will be given to young people who are within clubs in County Durham, however, depending on the number of applicants, places will also be offered to those outside of the County Durham area.
The deadline for applications is the 8th January 2016.
Please find link below to event flyer and application form.
Our first personalised hat order has now arrived. Please could parents come and collect their order on Friday from either Lianne Pye or Fiona Heppell.
A reminder that we will also be holding a “sizing session” for our coats and onesies this Friday, ahead of our last order date before Christmas, which is this Sunday.
If Santa is planning on delivering any Chester ASC goodies, then he must place his order by this Sunday (29 November) to ensure pre-Christmas delivery. Unfortunately, any orders placed after this date will not be delivered until the new year.
Lianne and Fiona will not be available to take orders on Sunday due to a gala being held this weekend, however orders can be given to any committee member and they will be passed on.
The last date to order team kit to ensure pre-Christmas delivery is Sunday 29 November 2015. Therefore please could parents ensure that any orders are placed by this date if Santa is making some special Chester ASC deliveries!
We have just received samples of Coats and onesies and will be holding a “try before you buy” drop in this Friday ahead of the Christmas order closing date, to check sizing of our new items.
