Further to recent announcements regarding our new swim shop and team clothing range, we will be starting the roll out of our new competition kit at next week’s NER Short Course Championships.
For all future championships and league events, competition hats will be awarded to all our championship qualifiers and Junior League team members, which will be colour coded for different championships as detailed below.
League Events: Standard club colours
N & D Championships: Red with black logo
NER Championships: Black with white logo
National Championships (winter & summer): White with red logo.
Shirts will also be available to coordinate with the above.
In view of this, coaches have asked that for all future championships all our swimmers wear the appropriate colours poolside to help create a uniform team image at competitions.
Therefore, please could we ask that all our NER qualifiers wear black shirts only poolside at next week’s championships.
A reminder that the closing date for orders for the above is Wednesday 4 November 2015.
Please could parents ensure that all payment is made by Friday 6 November 2015, unfortunately if payment is not received we are unable to place the order.
Fiona or Lianne will be available to take any ‘last minute’ orders Friday, however please be aware that after this week, no further orders will be taken until Feb/ March of next year.
We regretfully announce that with effect from 1 November 2015, Ruth Moralee will be stepping down as Club Treasurer.
Ruth, has successfully filled this role for over two years, working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the efficient running of the club.
With her relentless enthusiasm and meticulous attention to detail, she has made a significant contribution towards moving the club forward financially, to ensure its ongoing success. I’m sure all our members would like to join the committee in thanking Ruth for all her hard work and effort during the past two years, and for the positive contribution she has made.
Although Ruth has kindly agreed to act as non-executive Treasurer in the short term until a replacement is in post, the committee are now looking to fill the role as quickly as possible.
Anyone with a suitable background who is interested in the role, should speak to Wendy Frame or Frank Bell for further details as soon as possible.
We have been working with NESS swimwear to collate a range of training equipment and accessories to offer to our club members, tailored by squad. NESS have kindly set up dedicated club webpages for our Stroke Development, Age Group and Performance squads on their website, where you can purchase the appropriate training equipment online.
Alternatively, we will also be able to take orders for any items listed on our pages via the Club Swim Shop (see Lianne Pye or Fiona Heppell to order).
Please note that a delivery charge will apply to individual orders under £40.00 of £2.50, however we will try to combine orders where possible to reduce this cost.
All orders will be eligible to a 5% discount by entering the code CHLEST711 at checkout. This will also generate 5% commission for the club. Please note that any orders submitted via the Club Swim Shop will also be eligible for this discount.

A reminder that the first draw is due to take place Saturday 7 November 2015, and anyone wishing to take part must have purchased their number by Friday 6 November 2015.

We would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who was involved in organising and running the above meet, from officials to poolside helpers, fundraising volunteers to marshals, coaches to lunchtime entertainers and absolutely everyone in between!
An immense amount of work and effort went into behind the scenes planning to ensure the smooth running of the event, and fabulous teamworking on the day meant the event was a roaring success!
So thank you once again to all involved for your hard work and all attending clubs and swimmers for your support.

We are hoping to submit quarterly orders for these (order dates will be published on our website).
Our first order will be placed in early November to ensure delivery pre Christmas- all orders must be placed by Wednesday 4 November 2015 to be included in this quarter’s order.
We think these would make great little stocking fillers, but you need to get that order in quickly to ensure it makes it to Santa’s sleigh in time!

Ordering
Plans are in place to run a Sunday Swim Shop once or twice a month depending on interest and competition commitments, planned opening hours will be published separately as soon as these have been confirmed.
Orders for kit can be placed via the Sunday Swim Shop, Friday night sweet shop, or with Lianne Pye or Fiona Heppell at any other time. Members should be aware that with the exception of club hats, no stocks of clothing will be held by the club, and delivery for orders is estimated around 2 weeks (slightly longer for personalised items), therefore please take this into consideration when placing orders.
All kit with the exception of shorts and tracksuit bottoms can now be personlised with initials for an additional charge of £2.50 per item, please advise if you require this at the time of ordering.
