Swimalympics Thanks

A huge thank you and well done to all our swimmers who took part in Friday night’s Swimalympics event.

It was fantastic to see such a great turnout, and from the gallery it looked like masses of fun was had by all!

From our little GB medal relay teams, to our hardy ‘Channel Swimming Crew’, as always we can rely on our swimmers to show true team spirit. It was also lovely to see such fun and friendly competition as the teams all battled it out in their respective “events”.

Team Blue emerged victorious in the obstacle relays for the SD squads, beating Team Green into second place by 3 points, whilst Team White topped the Swim the Channel challenge just ahead of rivals Team Black.

Our youngest members also did us proud as they swam length after length alongside our ‘Channel Swimmers’ to complete their GB medal challenge! A big feat for such little tots!

But whichever team you were in, it looked like a great way to spend a Friday night training session!

A reminder that sponsorship money will be collected from Monday 11 July 2016, a big thank you to all those who have already submitted their forms.

Session Cancellations – Sunday 10 July 2016

Please could parents be aware that there will be no afternoon training sessions on Sunday 10 July 2016 for all squads (with the exception of A & B1 squads).

This is to allow swimmers to attend the Rio Summer of Sport event, being held at Park View School from 1pm to 4pm. (Click here for full details of the event).

We are sure it will be a fun filled afternoon, and a great opportunity for our swimmers to get together outside of the pool. Therefore, we would like to encourage as many of our swimmers to attend as possible.

If you haven’t already done so, please could you let us know if you are planning on attending so that we can finalise numbers for catering. Please email enquiries@chesterlestreetasc.co.uk. with numbers attending by Tuesday 5 July 2016 at the latest.

We look forward to seeing you all there.
