Any outstanding sponsorship forms will be collected the first week back (from 4 September).
We will be forwarding our donation to the Hearing Fund UK and Cystic Fibrosis Trust on 10 September, therefore all money must be be in by Friday 9 September.
Regrettably, due to insufficient coaching cover, the Afternoon session on Sunday 31 July 2016, is cancelled for A & B squads.
All other sessions will run as normal. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
We are pleased to confirm arrangements for the above event for those SD swimmers who have gallantly signed up! Places are still available (24 Sept 2016).
The event will take place at the Air Trail at the Tees Barrage Activity Centre, which looks like it will be a fantastic (albeit nerve wracking) adventure for our younger members.
The session will last 1 hour starting at 4.30pm. Please can we ask that all participants arrive 30 mins before the start time to get kitted out and briefed.
The event will be subsidised by the club to £5.00 per person, payable by Friday 9 September 2016.
Set over 4 levels, over 38 unique challenges await our brave little Air Trailers. There’s something for everyone; with an assortment of wobbly rope bridges, troublesome tight ropes, crazy cargo nets and swinging stepping stones, all floating high above the River Tees.
So parents have those cameras at the ready to capture our youngsters in full “swing”.
Information packs and consent forms will be distributed in the next week. Please could all consent forms be returned as soon as possible before 16 September 2016. Unfortunately, you will not be allowed to participate if a consent form is not completed.
If anyone has any questions regarding the event or would like to sign up (spaces still available)please speak to Lianne Pye as soon as possible.
We’re sure it will be a fun filled event and we can’t wait to see our little ‘Tarzans’ in action!
We are planning on taking our SD Squad swimmers to the Air Trail at the Tees Barrage Stockton in September.
This is the newest addition to the Tees Barrage activity centre, and is the tallest high ropes and zip wire course in the UK.
It has courses of varying difficulty with something for all ages, and we have to say it looks fantastic!
We’ve provisionally booked the venue exclusively for our swimmers on Saturday 24 September 2016 4.00pm to 5.30pm (1 hour on the trail and half hour briefing and kitting up).
However, we need at least 30 children to make it viable.
If your child is interested in taking part, please could you let Lianne Pye know by Friday 22/7/2016, or alternatively email enquiries@chesterlestreetasc.co.uk
Full details will be issued as soon as we confirm that the event will run as planned.
Just a gentle reminder that sponsorship forms and money are now being collected.
Please could you ensure that forms are handed in by Friday 22 July, as we need to finalise the amount for The Hearing Fund UK and Cystic Fibrosis Trust, before the summer holidays kick in.
Unfortunately, we’ve only had a very small number handed in so far, so we’d be extremely grateful if you could collect in any money owed as soon as possible.
Money can be handed to Lianne Pye or Christine Gibson Lee who will be at the pool on Tuesday and Friday this week.
As always we thank you for your support.
We have been informed that mobile phones will not be allowed poolside at the above meet. Please could all swimmers ensure that they are either left at home or stored safely in their bags.
The accepted entries for the Gateshead and Whickham gala have been released.
Advance notice that from September, all B2/B3 squad swimmers will need to bring socks and a t shirt to train in for the first 6 weeks back.
This is to help regain fitness after summer closure. (We can hear the groans from here!)
As always your support with this is greatly appreciated.
