We are pleased to confirm the arrangements for our upcoming presentation evening. Due to the popularity of the event, we have had to change the format of this year’s event to accommodate everyone, and in view of this, the event will now take place in two parts.
Presentations
The evening will commence with the presentation of our annual awards. Please could we ask that everyone arrives at 7pm, to ensure that they are seated ready to start the awards at 7.15pm prompt. A seating plan is in place for this part of the evening, to ensure that families can be seated together.
Please note that all swimmers will be seated together at the front of the room, with families seated behind. The seating plan is available for download below. Families will be informed of their seats prior to the night.
Following the awards, please could we ask that the presentation room is vacated as quickly as possible. This is to allow the room to be rearranged ready for the next part of the evening. We have been advised that this will take approximately half an hour, during which time ( and throughout the event) we have exclusive use of a nearby suite of rooms/bar where seating will be available, and the buffet will later be served.
Award Photographs
We have arranged for a photographer to attend the event to take keepsake photos of our prize winners with their awards, and he will also be available for family and friend group shots a little later in the evening. Photos will be taken in the Barons Hall after the presentations and will be printed on the evening to take away. They can be purchased at a cost of £5.00 per photo, with 20% of the proceeds being donated to the club.
Buffet & Party
The buffet will be served at around 8.45pm in the Barons Hall, opposite to the presentation room, where additional seating will be available. Following which the dancing will commence at approx 9.00pm in the Garter Room, after it has undergone its dramatic transformation!
Please could all B2/B3 squad swimmers bring some thick socks to wear during pool training sessions in January. This is to help strengthen ankles on kick, particularly breastroke and will be incorporated into the sessions for the next month.
If anyone has any questions regarding this, please speak to Lorraine.
We would like to say a huge thank you to our swimmers, volunteers, parents and coaches for all their hard work and support throughout 2015 – wishing everyone an even better year for 2016!
Whilst not wanting to appear ungrateful, Santa does sometimes get it a teensy bit wrong.. but fear not Santa’s mishap is just what we need!
We are looking for raffle prizes for our upcoming presentation evening, so if you have any gifts which didn’t quite hit the mark and you would like to donate to a good cause then look no further!
Any donations can be given to Ruth Moralee next Tuesday ahead of next Saturday’s event.
As always a big thank you in advance for your support and generosity.
