We are pleased to announce the addition of a new club sponsor ‘ Michael English Roofing‘, who have kindly agreed to be our N & D Championship sponsor. We are extremely grateful for their support, which is allowing us to provide new championship kit for all our current and future qualifiers.
Welcome aboard!
Details for Michael English Roofing can be found on our Meet our Sponsors page, along with all our sponsors, whom we would also like to thank for their ongoing support.
There will once again be an additional training session on offer to our B2 squad on Monday 18 January 2016, 5 – 7pm, due to our A/B1 squad swimmers attending the Hub.
Any swimmers able to attend this session should arrive poolside 4.45pm for pre session stretching.
Normal training schedule resumes Tuesday 19 January 2016.
As previously published, we have organised a Rag Bag fundraiser to raise funds for kit and other competition support for our swimmers.
A bag has been given to each swimmer with details of items which can be accepted, a full list can also be found on the Rag Bag website (link below) and the club noticeboard.
Please could we ask that families try to return their bags on the dates specified (see below), which have been staggered across the squads to help with the collection and transportation of bags.
Our small pool swimmers will receive their bags this coming Friday.
If anyone would like any more bags, please see Lianne Pye (sweet shop) as we have plenty more available.
A reminder that the club receive ££ for each Kg of clothing and shoes collected, so now’s a great time to have a new year clear out!
As always, we thank you for your support
Collection Dates
SD1 – SD3 – Tuesday 12 January & Sunday 17 January
B2, B3 & SD4 – Tuesday 19 January & Sunday 24 January
A big thank you to all who supported last night’s presentation evening. It was lovely to see such a fantastic turn out and even more so to see our talented swimmers receiving recognition for all their achievements and hard work throughout the year.
A huge well done to all our medal, trophy and award winners, all well deserving and I’m sure there were many a proud parent and grandparent with cameras at the ready!
Although we are considering adding a new ‘special award’ category next year, in recognition of the tremendous skill demonstrated by some of our award winners… negotiating the podium in such precariously high heels was pretty impressive stuff and definitely worth a mention!
All in all it was a great evening with plenty to celebrate, and I’m sure 2016 will bring yet more fantastic achievements to recognise at next year’s awards.
