We are looking to host a sponsored swim on 7 October, 14:00 – 16:00 with members of the CrossFit centre and their chosen charity of Epilepsy Action, monies raised will be split 50/50 between club and charity. Funds raised for the club will go towards new trophies for our annual club gala.
We would hope that each swimmer tried to gain sponsorship of £5, which can be paid via JustGiving.
British Swimming Championships at Ponds Forge ISC, Sheffield
The culmination of a season’s hard work gets underway tomorrow. The very best of luck to Harry, Thomas and Alex in Sheffield for the British Summer Championships. All three are in action tomorrow.

Applications for the next round of DIS Athlete Support are now open.
Durham Institute of Sport (DIS) supports the development of the county’s talented athletes and coaches and helps them achieve their sporting potential. DIS work hand-in-hand with the best performers, coaches and sports practitioners, and provide support and assistance to optimize training, preparation and performance.
DIS is specifically intended to support athletes and coaches performing and working at county level through to international level, and the ASA is consulted to ensure that support is offered at the right level.
DIS is delivered in partnership by Durham County Council, County Durham Sport, Durham University
The Durham Institute of Sport Athlete Support Scheme provides athletes with easy access to essential training facilities.
The final Durham Hub Session of 2017-18 will be tomorrow at Sunderland Aquatic Centre (10:00 – 12:00)
It is the last day of the Tall Ships on Saturday and therefore the roads might be a little busy (but there shouldn’t be any closures). Sunderland Aquatic Centre said they might shut the car park however the Blue Car Park can be used if you say you are there for the Performance Swimming Programme
