Monday 31 July will be our last weekday morning session of the season. Sunday morning sessions will continue to run until we shut for the summer on Friday 18 August.
Metafit has now finished until January.
The CrossFit Centre will be closed on Sunday 6 August, so the A and B1 CrossFit session will be cancelled.

On Thursday 3rd August we have 3 swimmers (Taryn, Alex and Thomas) competing in the 50m Freestyle at Nationals in Sheffield. It would be fantastic if some of their team mates could be there to cheer them on. It’s also a great opportunity for swimmers to sample the atmosphere at Ponds Forge.
Timetable would look a little like this;
The bus would cost in the region of £20 to £25 per head and the tickets for the day are £10.50 / £8.50
If anyone is interested in attending please leave details on the sheet on the noticeboard or alternatively email enquiries@chesterlestreetasc.co.uk – if we get sufficient numbers we will confirm costs.
It would be fantastic if we could have a few there to cheers them on. Lorraine does her best but even she struggles to be heard in Ponds Forge!
At a meeting with Durham County Council yesterday we were informed the pool will be closed from mid September for a short period to allow major improvements to the reception and changing areas. Nobody will disagree this is long overdue.
Correction
There will be a pool closure from mid September and while there will be disruption to other Leisure Centre services it will not be a 3 month closure as we originally stated. We apologise for any confusion from our news release yesterday, please see this Durham County Council press release for further details.
It is very short notice but this was due to the snap general election being called and the subsequent ban on local authorities making announcements during the campaign period.
Alternate training venues and times will be announced very shortly and will be published on the website.
This will be a testing time for everyone at the club but if we all pull in the same direction we will get through it and by the end of the year we will have a much better facility to train in.
