The exciting outdoor swimming and water safety initiative, Swim Safe, is returning once again to South Shields Sandhaven beach.
The Swim Safe project is aimed at educating children aged between 7 and 14, and their parents, about the challenges and dangers which are present in an open water environment, that are not found in an indoor swimming pool.
The 40-minute sessions are practical, interactive, educational, fun and free, and include land-based safety lessons with a lifeguard, and in-water tuition with an ASA qualified swimming teacher.
The first set of Swim Safe 2016 dates and UK locations have been announced.
Visit the Swim Safe website for full details and to register to take part in one of this year’s sessions.
