Further to the announcement at our recent AGM, we would like to formally welcome our new Management Committee to post.
Terry Mason (AKA Alex’s dad!) has taken over as Club Chair, and will be responsible for overseeing decisions and ensuring efficient running of the club.
Lianne Pye ( Sweet shop lady for those of you who don’t know her) has taken on the role of Club Secretary, responsible for day to day issues and general communication.
Finally, Ruth Moralee has ( with a bit of grovelling persuasion!) agreed to formally take up the role of Club Treasurer once again.
A big thank you to our new Management Committee for taking up the roles, to all our existing post holders for their continued hard work, to all our coaches & volunteers for the time and effort devoted to the club and finally to all those who attended last week’s AGM.
For those who weren’t able to make it, a summary of our Annual Club Review and Coaches’ Performance Report will be published in the next few weeks, highlighting our key achievements from 2015 and outlining our plans/objectives for the coming year.
Committee Restructure
The AGM saw the announcement of the club’s plans to restructure the way in which it is managed. Chester-le-Street ASC will no longer have a general committee, but will with immediate effect be comprised of four sub committee groups, each responsible for a key area.
The Management Committee will comprise of :
- Chair
- Club Secretary
- Treasurer
- Lead Coach
- Membership Secretary
With general committee members and volunteers sitting within sub groups headed up by each Club Officer.
Full details of the new structure and roles/responsibilities will be published asap once finalised.
Volunteers
However, we are always on the look out for any volunteers who can spare a little time to help, this could be a regular commitment, or for one off events, either way we’d love to hear from you.
In particular we are looking for support with :
- Website Management & Communications
- Marketing/PR
- Swim 21 Co-ordinator
- Fundraising
